Sarah Capel Printing: process and materials

All my products are carefully screen printed by hand, by me, in my studio in South East London. Inks are mixed by hand and colours are matched by eye. I also sew all the cushion covers together myself.

As such, each product is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour and pattern from the images on the website. 

My cushion and lampshade designs are printed on natural linen from Ada & Ina in Kent. Tea towels are 100% cotton and I use premium quality Eco-friendly inks.

My cards are printed on 270gsm card from the G.F Smith Colorplan collection which is FSC certified. 

The lampshade fabric is backed with flame retardant PVC and I recommend using a low energy bulb.

If you would like to order a cushion cover without the cushion pad, or would prefer a microfibre cushion pad rather than a feather pad please email me at sarahcapelprinting@gmail.com and I will be able to assist you. 

Payment

I accept payments with PayPal Express Checkout, and with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express debit and credit cards. 

Postage and packaging

As many of my items are made to order please allow the following periods of time between receipt of order and payment and when the product is despatched:

- single and box-set cards: up to 1 week

- tea towels: up to 1 week

- cushions and lampshades: up to 2 weeks.

Postage costs for UK orders

Free second class postage for UK orders.

If you want to place an order from outside the UK please contact me for postage costs.

I send cards by Royal Mail's standard second class post. All other items are sent by Royal Mail's second class signed for service. If you would like to upgrade to Royal Mail first class or other service please email me at sarahcapelprinting@gmail.com for a quote.

Gift wrapping

All products are gift wrapped with tissue or brown Kraft paper, twine and handprinted stickers. 

Boxes of cards and tea-towels will be sent in a bubble mailer envelope. Cushions and lampshades will be sent in a box. Single cards are sent in a board backed envelope. 

Lost parcel policy

If your order has not arrived in the expected time frame then please contact me and I will try and rectify the situation! However, please note that I do not consider an item to be 'lost in the post' until 30 days from despatch has passed, and I will not replace an item sooner than this. 

Cancellation, returns and exchanges policy

You have 14 days, from receipt of your order, to notify me if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item. Please email me at sarahcapelprinting@gmail.com.

Items must be returned in their original, unused condition and in their original packaging for a prompt replacement, exchange or refund. Please return to Sarah Capel Printing, 345 Ivydale Road, London, SE15 3ED.

Unless the product is faulty I am unable to refund any return post and packing charges. 

Postage costs are non-refundable.
